How Do You Replace The Front Door Speakers In A 1996 Dodge Avenger?
The 1996 Avenger was a front-wheel drive coupe developed in a joint venture between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. The Avenger was sold under the Dodge brand. The Avenger coupe has nothing in common with the Avenger sedan introduced in 2008, so these instructions will only work for 1995 to 2000 models. The 1996 Dodge Avenger front speakers are easily to replace because of a removable speaker access grille. The removable grille allows you to replace the speakers without removing the entire door panel. Disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning the procedure. Remove the front door speaker grille. The grill is attached by clips; it will simply pop off. Remove the three speaker-mounting screws to take the speaker out of the door. Disconnect the speaker connection and cut the wiring. Attach the wiring to the new speaker. For best results, use a soldering gun to attach the wiring.
