The heater blower motor in you 1996 Chevy Beretta will improve the air flow to your heater and defroster if your blower is not working. Many times a blower motor will run on just one speed but that is not the fault of the motor, it is a resistor problem. A faulty blower motor will stop completely if the motor fails, make a metallic grinding if the bearings are failing or may vibrate badly from a damaged basket or shaft. Replacement motors are available from any auto parts store or the Chevy dealer. Disconnect the negative battery cable from you battery, using a wrench to loosen the retaining bolt then pull the cable off the battery. Isolate the cable end from the battery terminals while you are working. Locate the blower motor on the passenger’s side firewall, up close to the top of the cowl. Locate the electrical connector on the side closest to the passenger’s side fender of the car. Disconnect it from the pins on the motor by pulling it straight out. Remove the five bolts around the
