How do you replace the belt on a Yard Machines riding mower?

Depending on the model you have, you have to raise the front of the mower up. Drop the cutting deck down to the lowest setting. Take out the bolts that hold the belt protectors on. These bolt heads are located under the cutting deck where the blades are and come up thru the cutting deck to hold the belt protectors to the top of the cutting deck. Make sure you have the right belt for the machine. You should start, if this a dual blade unit, by putting the belt on the front pulley, (closer to the front of the mower), then to the pulley by where your left leg would be if sitting on the mower. Next, put the belt around the third pulley by where your right leg would be if you where sitting on the mower. There are guards that come down over the pulleys that keep the belt from coming off during normal operation. You may have to bend the belt sideways to get past them. On the last pulley you may need a screwdriver to help the belt get around it into position. Replace the bolts on the protector
