Replacing the belt on a Hoover vacuum is an inexpensive way to get your vacuum cleaner working properly again. There are various models of Hoover vacuum cleaners so there may be some variations in the way the belt is replaced, but the basics should be the same. Unplug the Hoover vacuum cleaner and turn it upside down on the floor. Release the handle so it is not in the locked position. Remove the plate on the bottom of the vacuum.
