How do you replace the battery on a jeep liberty?
When inserting the battery, remove any handle that may be on it before installing. Put the battery in the same spot in under the hood and wiggle it to ensure it is seated well. Perform the same activities with the same tools in reverse order to what you did to remove the battery: put the battery holder behind the battery, turn the bolt about 50 times to secure the battery, place the red lead onto the + side of the battery and tighten the bolt that holds it on, put the black cable on the – side, replace the cap for the – side of the battery, replace the fuse, shut the fuse box tightly, and start the jeep up. You may need to let the jeep run several minutes to ensure the on-board computer has no problems with running the engine, and you will likely have to reset the time and radio stations on your jeep.
