How Do You Replace Swimming Pool Lights?

0

Swimming pool lights are needed in order to be able to see well during your evening swim. Lights also tend to add to the look of the pool, and fancy styles of lights add images at night in the water. Here’s how to change swimming pool lights. Step 1 Turn off electricity. Locate the breaker box to turn off all of the electricity relating to the swimming pool. Step 2 Unscrew the light from the pool. Each pool light is held down with one screw on its cover, called the pilot screw, located on the top rim of the light fixture. As you remove the light fixture notice how the wiring sits so that you can put it back the same way when you replace the pool light. Step 3 Take the light fixture out of the water and place it on the side of the pool. It will remain attached to a long cord. Remove the 10 screws that sit around the fixture to protect the bulb. Remove the the lens that covers the bulb. Step 4 Remove the bulb. Be very careful to avoid injury–the bulb may break and could cut your hands.
