How Do You Replace Sliding Glass Shower Doorneed ?
unless you know the make and model of the door,you will have to replace the entire shower door assembly including the framing.you will need a hammer drill, silicone caulk, a screw driver, a three foot level and wall anchors (molly’s). remove the old door thoroughly clean opening of all old caulk and/or grout. depending on the replacement door you might have to cut to fit, but most doors have a “range” of opening sizes that they fit ie..30″to 33″.threshold goes down first, caulk and set in place, then the side rails, you maybe can use the old holes in the walls or you might have to drill new holes. check for whether they are plumb or not mark the holes and drill, fasten with molly’s (no caulk yet) install top rail if provided. screw door to frame per instructions(make sure that the door hinge is furthest away from shower head). caulk with high quality silicone caulk (inside and out along side framing).let set for 24 hours before use.
