How Do You Replace Refrigerator Water Filters?

“My name is William Perkinson, and I’m here to tell you how to replace refrigerator water filters. The refrigerator water filters of today are much easier, ’cause they’re usually contained within the refrigerator. Older models that did not have filters, you could put an in-line filter in your water line from your sink, but they’re not as efficient. They’re harder to change. And so, technology has caught up with us and this is a much easier model. There’s two types. Basically, there’s one that you can see when you open the door to the refrigerator compartment. It’ll usually be in the upper right. Looks a little bit like an oil filter on your car, about the same size. Grab it, twist it, pull it out. This particular model and others like it had the refrigerator at the bottom in the grill on the front. How do you know that it’s time to change your water filter? Generally, there’ll be an indicator light inside. When it turns yellow is a warning, and when it turns red it’s time to change it.
