Whether your Leaf Springs are sprung or you just want to upgrade your suspension with a set of overload springs, or ‘helper springs,’ replacing them is a fairly straight forward process. This is job that can be done in the driveway, in a couple of hours. Even faster, if you use power tools! Obviously, there are differences between Makes and Model years, foreign and domestics, cars and trucks. In my instruction, the specific vehicle is a ’94 Nissan Pickup Truck. Even so, these steps should prove universal for most rear wheel drive vehicles. Before you begin, be sure that you have everything you will need for the job, especially if this is your only vehicle. The last thing you want to do is to put old parts back on so you can drive to the parts store! Even if your Auto Parts store delivers, it’s a delay that can be avoided. So, be sure you have the right tools, springs, Install Kit (eye bolts, u-bolts, spring shackles and rubber bushings), before you start. Chock a front wheel, to preven
