How do you replace poulan chainsaw primer bulb?

Take off the cover on the left side of the saw that holds the pull cord. You should now see the plastic base of the bulb, with two Allen-head screws holding it in. Take out the screws and it should come out, still attached to the fuel lines. You may need to use very long, fine needle-nosed pliers to take off the fuel lines. Reverse all this to install the new one. You can buy a new bulb over the internet, but your local small engine repair shop can probably sell you one cheaper (and faster). Hope this helps.
