How Do You Replace Old Drop (T-Bar) Ceilings With PVC Tin Look Ceiling Tiles?

Renovating their place (office or restaurant) most of the owners tend to ignore the ceilings, preferring to “invest” in walls (new paint) and floors. What I’d like to show in this article is how important the ceiling are – and as a example I’ll show one place we completed last week. Without any major investments we changed the whole place just within day and a half. You can use old drop tiles (2X4 or 2X2). In this case we used 2X4 tiles. On each 2X4 drop tile we glued two TalissaDecor’s PVC tin look ceiling tiles (this particular model is #117 Antique Copper) with PL700 (8 cartridges for 110 tiles). This is how “new” tiles look like. The PVC tiles installed by overlapping and the joints glued with contact cement. This is how the place looked like when we started All the grids were sprayed with metallic Copper paint from Home Depot (for 880 sq.ft. restaurant we used 7 cans of paint) Last step was to insert the new tiles to the grids and here we are ! Thanks for looking!
