Replacing your kitchen fixtures is simple, and the rewards in the end can be significant. These are held on by either hand-tightened screws, or depending on the fixture, a nut in the middle of the glass that is hand tightened. Unscrew the screws on the base that are holding the fixture to the ceiling or wall. Pull the fixture toward you. When all screws are out it should come off the wall or ceiling with ease. Remove the plastic caps on the wires, and connect your new fixture matching the color of the wires. Re-cap the new wires. Screw on your new fixture in the same way the old one was screwed on.
