How Do You Replace Honda Element Cabin Air Filters?
Most modern vehicles have some type of air filtration system to keep dust and other particles from entering the air-conditioning vents. The Honda Element has a double-filtration system that uses two filters to improve the air quality in your Honda. The cabin air filters should be replaced every 25,000 miles or so, depending on your climate. It’s recommended to inspect your filters every six months; dusty climates will cause your filter to clog much quicker. Open the glove box and remove everything in it. Squeeze the outside panels of the glove box together to detach the hooks and let the glove box door lower completely. Release the tab on the left side of the filter cover. Open the left side of the filter cover and slide the right side back to release the hinges. Set the filter cover aside. Pull the left filter out and then slide the right filter over to remove it.
