Larson storm doors are designed to offer added protection against wind, rain and other exterior elements. These units are made of wood or aluminum, and are installed on the outside of an existing entrance in the home. They may contain full or half glass panels as well as retractable or fixed screens. Over time, the glass in a storm door may crack or break due to sharp impacts by people or objects. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to replace a broken glass panel and restore the look of your door. Examine your storm door from the interior. The glass is held in place by a metal frame, which is supported by two vertical retainer strips. Look for these retainer strips on either side of the glass so you’ll understand how the glass is installed. Insert a flat-head screwdriver between the retainer strip and the adjacent frame.
