Electrical outlets, which are most commonly 120 volts, are very familiar devices to the average homeowner. They supply the power to our appliances, electronics and other devices. Occasionally there may come a time where you might need to replace the outlet. Maybe you accidentally cracked it, or maybe the socket has become extremely loose so that the plug falls out easily. One of the easiest electrical repairs is to replace electrical outlets with a ground, so with a few tools you should be able to accomplish this task quickly. Turn off the power to the electrical circuit that the outlet is contained on. The power can be cut by turning off the correct switch in the circuit breaker panel.
