How Do You Replace Drill Press Tables?

0

A drill press is a woodworker’s friend, especially the hobby enthusiast. For that perfectly aligned hole for a dowel rod there is not a better tool to use. However, sometimes those tables get worn out before the drill motor does. Check with the manufacturer of the drill press for replacement parts. Remove damaged or worn out table by removing the screws or allen nuts that secure the table’s clamp around the shaft. Make certain that the shaft is free from burrs. These could damage the new table. Use a fine emery cloth for this purpose. Apply the new table with the clamp and screws and/or levers supplied. Set the level of the table to the desired level to get the maximum benefit from the drill press and tighten in place.
