Changing the filter regularly will help remove dust and pollen contaminants from every room in the house while prolonging the life of the air conditioning system. A clogged, dirty filter reduces air flow, diminishes the cooling capacity and places added strain on the Carrier system as it tries to draw air through a blocked filter. Locate the evaporator coil and blower compartment inside your house. This is a large, rectangular metal box typically located in a basement or utility closet on the ground floor.
