How do you replace burglar alarm battery?
A typical residential burglar alarm will have a main CPU or control panel usually located in a closet. Depending on the brand, it will be securely closed with a lock or screws. In either case you’ll have to get it open. Unscrew, pick the lock, drill the lock, etc. Once inside, you’ll see two wire leads (usually RED and BLACK) connected to what looks like a brick shaped object. Sometimes it’ll be rectangular and other times it’ll be almost cube like. That will be the battery. Carefully pull the two leads off of it, go to your nearest source for specialty batteries (batteries plus?) and purchase compatible model. If the alarm system is disarmed, the beeping will go away after your replace the battery and it charges to capacity. The most important factor will be the size of the connectors and the voltage of the battery (usually 12V). It does not have to be the same brand.
