How do you replace an oxygen sensor in a Honda Civic?

I replaced the ozygen sensor on a 1995 Civic VX (Hatchback). The part (the oxygen sensor) is rather expensive at more than $300, but easily removed and replaced. Once you have the new part, open the hood and look for a couple of wires coming out of the center of a silver bar (the header). These wires should connect the oxygen sensor to a wiring harness. Disconnect the harness and start the car to see if the ENGINE light is now off. If it is … sucess. Use a wrench to unscrew the unit from the header and replace by reversing the process. Finish by re-connecting the oygen sensor to its wiring harness. The ENGINE light should stay off. If it comes on again, you have other problems.
