If you are trying to replace the ionizer wires on your air cleaner, it is a good idea to check the instructions in your installation manual. It is a simple task that can take just a few seconds. Check the manual to find out where you can buy the replacement wires, and visit your local hardware store and let them know the model of your air cleaner so that they may find the proper ionizer wires for you. Open your air cleaner to locate the ionizer wires. You may have to unscrew the top cover of your cleaner depending on your model of air cleaner. Unhook the old wires, and clean the contacts with contact cleaner. Hook the loop on an end of the new wire over the cell’s spring connection. Use needle nosed pliers to hold the other eyelet.
