How Do You Replace A Worn Toilet Flapper?

0

Nothing is more annoying than having your toilet run off and on, keeping everyone in the house up till all hours! This article will teach even the most un-handy man(or woman!) how to replace that worn out toilet flapper in a snap! Turn off water supply valve, located below and to the left of toilet.sometimes the valve may be frozen open, but a squirt of penetrating oil will usually do the trick to free it up. If not, a pair of channel lock pliers will do the trick. Remove old flapper by lifting up and out on rubber flapper connectors, and unhooking flush chain Install new toilet flapper by hooking rubber flapper connectors onto flush valve ears and connect flush chain (chain should have approx. 3/8 inch play). Turn on water supply valve, give toilet a test flush, and you are finished with this simple job, saving yourself a ton of money!!
