How Do You Replace A Window Regulator?
A window regulator is the frame that holds the window glass in place within your vehicle’s doors. A broken regulator means the window won’t roll up or down properly. To replace a window regulator, make sure you get the right one for your exact vehicle and whichever door or window it’s for. You must then remove the trim panel on the door’s inside to get to the regulator, separate it from the glass and remove it. Raise the window glass up to the top and make sure it’s supported within the door’s upper window frame. If there is no window frame, lower the window to the bottom and get ready to remove it later. Disconnect the negative battery cable once the glass is in place. Remove the trim panel from the door. Start with the door handle bezel and the panel’s upper extension and pry off the manual lock lever with a flathead screwdriver or other flat blade.
