There are few things more convenient than being able to fill your glass with chilled, filtered water right from your refrigerator door. To keep your Whirlpool refrigerator water dispenser working properly, it’s important to change your water filter whenever the water filter status on your dispenser reads “replace.” Failure to change your water filter when needed can result in decreased water flow to both the water dispenser and to your ice maker. Your filter will need to be replaced at least every six months, sooner if your water quality is poor. Press “eject” to remove the used water filter from its base, grasp the filter and pull it out. Remove the cap from the used filter by turning it counterclockwise. Screw the cap onto the new filter by turning it clockwise, making sure that the line on the cap is matched up with the arrow on the filter. Remove the new filter covers.
