How Do You Replace A Tungsten E Battery?
The Palm Tungsten is a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) powered by a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. Although the battery pack is soldered to the connection terminals inside the device, it only takes a couple of minutes to unsolder the connections and install a new battery if you follow these steps. Turn the Tungsten face down on a flat surface on a folded towel to protect it from scratches and prevent the device from sliding around. Remove the four screws in the corners of the back cover using a small Phillips-head screwdriver. Slip a thin, flat blade screwdriver between the back and front covers, slowly prying the back cover up and off by working the flat blade around the edge. Locate the battery pack in the upper-left corner of the Tungsten. The battery pack is off-white and attached to the PDA by two wires–one is red and the other is black. Lift the battery pack out of its compartment. Use the soldering iron to separate the wires from the terminals inside the battery compartment
