Although they conduct water to your tub, the faucet itself is not directly connected to any source of running water. Therefore, with only simple tools, a tub faucet can be readily replaced. You do need to be careful around your pipes when replacing faucets, but you can give your bathroom a new look in no time just by sprucing up your hardware and changing up the style of your tub faucets. Make sure the water is turned off at the faucet handles. Turn them off as tight as they will go, and make sure that you do not bang into them while you are working. Remove the faucet fixture. Unscrew the old tub faucet from the pipe fixture using locking pliers. Use an old rag to wipe off the pipe fixture of any dirt or debris. Attach the new faucet. Smear the end of the pipe fixture with your Teflon sealing paste. Then, hand-screw on the new tub faucet. Tighten the tub faucet with your locking pliers, screwing it onto the tub fixture firmly. Wrap the old rag around the new faucet. Apply your locking
