How Do You Replace A Toilet Water Closets Ballcock?
Your toilet tank fills with water when a float ball lowers and the ballcock assembly opens a valve. A loose seal or a broken ballcock assembly will waste water and limit the abilities of your toilet. In this case, you would need to replace the current ballcock with a new model. Though you could call a plumber to do this for you, replacing a toilet ballcock doesn’t require any special technical knowledge. Turn the metal knob jutting out from the wall underneath the left side of your toilet clockwise to shut off the water supply running to the toilet. Flush your toilet to drain any water from the toilet tank. Disconnect the supply line hose of the toilet by unscrewing the tube at the bottom of the toilet tank. Once the hose is removed, unscrew the jamb nut that was connecting the hose and the toilet by turning it counter-clockwise by hand. Remove the jamb nut and set it aside. Pull up the old ballcock assembly until it is released from the toilet tank. Set this aside and dispose of it as
