On average, each Moen faucet filter is effective at filtering about 200 gallons of water. Depending on your water use and the amount of filtration your water needs, each filter lasts an average of three months. An indicator light will appear on the faucet when it’s time to change the filter. Replacement filter kits can be purchased at a hardware store or at Moen.com. Step 1 Use a flat-headed screwdriver to carefully remove the screws in the handle of the faucet. Once the handle is loose, carefully lift it off of the faucet.
