How Do You Replace A Dodge Shadow Window Motor?
The window motor on a Dodge Shadow is replaceable separately from the window regulator. The window regulator on this vehicle is a cable driven type of regulator assembly. Many times, a motor failure on one of these vehicles involves just replacing the plastic gear within the motor, as opposed to the motor itself. The motor would still need to be removed, however replacing the gear is less expensive. Remove the two Phillips screws in the armrest using the Phillips screwdriver. Remove the cover in front of the door handle by removing the screw in the cover. Remove the door panel by inserting the screwdriver between the door panel and the door, and prying out all the trim fasteners holding the door panel to the door. Pull the door panel away from the door enough to reach behind the panel and disconnect the electrical connectors on the window switch.
