How Do You Replace A Dishwasher Arm?
The sprayer arm on a dishwasher shoots water at the dishes, using power from the pump and the motor beneath it. Sprayer arms rarely break, but they can sometimes become clogged with minerals or detergent. In many cases, the arms can be cleaned effectively. In other cases, it may be easier to replace an arm entirely. Step 1 Disconnect your dishwasher from its power source. This may entail unplugging the dishwasher or flipping a switch on the circuit board. Step 2 Remove the lower rack of the dishwasher. Step 3 Examine the spray arm on your dishwasher. Some spray arms are connected by a bolt. If your arm is bolted in, use the screwdriver to remove the bolt. Step 4 Gently rock the spray arm back and forth while pulling it out of the dishwasher. Step 5 Replace any washers. Step 6 Gently slide in the new spray arm. If necessary, rebolt the arm into the dishwasher. Step 7 Replace the lower rack of the dishwasher.
