All of the advantages of having a laptop will be destroyed if the display stops working. If the internal laptop display is damaged you will need to connect an external monitor to the unit to use it, eliminating the portability that makes laptops so popular. Fortunately it is possible to replace your laptop’s display with a new one. If you can replace your laptop display on your own you can save a great deal of money. Turn off your laptop and disconnect the AC adapter. Turn the laptop upside down and locate the release lever for the battery. Push the release lever to loosen the battery. Pull the battery out of the case and set it aside. Remove the keyboard cover by taking out the two hinge cover screws on the back of the laptop. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver under the keyboard cover, first at the right end, then in the middle and finally on the left end. Lift the cover up gently and set it aside. Remove the two retaining screws from the rear panel of the laptop. Remove the screw
