How Do You Replace A Belt On A Sears 3 Belt Sander?
Portable belt sanders are ideal for large projects because this tool can cover quite a bit of surface area at once, decreasing the time invested in the project. With a surface that is 3 inches wide by 21 inches long, this belt sander will quickly tackle any project. The belt sander must be maintained and the belt replaced to stay in good working order. This type of sander has two drums located on the bottom of the sander which the belt wraps around when sanding. The Sears 3 Craftsman belt sander comes equipped with a belt release lever, also on the bottom open side of the sander, to make changing belts quick and easy. Locate the belt release lever. This is found on one of the open sides at the bottom of the sander. Turn the belt sander onto the side with the release lever so that the drum ends are exposed.
