How Do You Replace A Batting Cage Net?
A well-used batting cage will occasionally need its net replaced. Over time, the netting will eventually develop holes and any balls popping through those holes could pose a hazard to players and onlookers. Follow these steps to replace that worn net and keep your batting cage safe. Place your ladder at the entrance end of the cage. Climb the ladder and lift the corner edge of the old net off the hook or snap that fastens it to the side cables. Continue along one side of the cage, moving the ladder every few feet and releasing the netting from the hooks that connect it to the cables. As you remove the netting, the top netting of the cage will begin to collapse into the center. Work your way around the two corners on the short end of the cage, continuing the final long side of the cage. Simply drop the netting to the ground as you go. Release the netting from bottom edge hooks if the net was anchored to the ground. Gather up the old netting, fold or roll it into a bundle and dispose of
