How Do You Replace A 1993 Ford Escort Rotor?
All four brake rotors are removed and replaced the same way on the 1993 Ford Escort. Each brake rotor is behind each wheel. Each brake rotor has a brake caliper connected to the top of the brake rotor. Each brake rotor has four metal securing nuts in the center of the rotor. It will take you about 30 to remove and replace all four brake rotors. Loosen the wheel nuts from one of the wheels with the tire tool. Raise that area of the Ford Escort off of the ground using the jack and rest the frame on a jack stand. Remove the nuts from the wheel and pull the wheel off of the frame. Loosen the securing nuts on the right and left side of the brake caliper using the ratchet set. Pull the brake caliper off of the top of the rotor. Remove the nuts from the middle of the rotor using the ratchet set. Slide the rotor off of the axle. Slide the new rotor onto the axle and replace the securing nuts to the center of the rotor.
