How Do You Repair Wood Floors With Varnish Or Paint?
Over a long period of time all the wear and tear on your floors can begin to show. Wood floors look beautiful when they are properly cleaned and maintained, but they can show age very easily. Instead of spending thousands on repairs, you should just varnish and paint your damaged wood floors. It only takes a little prep work, but then you can update their aged appearance. Pry up the trim around the room. Slide the claw on the hammer between the wall and the trim to pry it off. Gently sand the entire floor. Focus on sanding rough or blemish marks on the floor. Mop the entire floor to remove any debris or wood dust. Allow the floor to dry completely. Start painting in the corner of the room opposite the exit. Apply a thin coat of paint or varnish to the entire floor. Allow it to dry for a day. Apply another thin coat of paint or varnish to the entire floor the next day and allow it to dry for another day. Hammer the trim back to the edges of the room.
