How Do You Repair Porcelain Sink Scratches?
Porcelain sinks take a beating from pots, pans, utensils or other items that can create small surface scratches. A few of these are not all that noticeable, but as more and more show up, your sink can begin to look dull. It is best to take care of the scratches as they appear to stay on top of the repairs. Plug the sink and fill it with water. Scrub the sink with a soaked pumice stone to smooth out light scratches to make them less noticeable. Drain the sink to check the results. If you missed any, try again. Do not use a pumice stone that is not fully soaked. A dry stone will scratch the sink and make matters worse. Sand the scratched area with a super-fine sandpaper if the pumice stone doesn’t take care of it. Wash off the sanding dust and buff out with a soft cloth.
