How Do You Repair Paint Scratches On A Ceramic Stove Top?
For years, the only materials used for stove tops were metal, porcelain and enamel. These were all relatively durable surfaces, not easily damaged through regular usage. Now, however, other options such as glass and ceramic are available. Although these surfaces can be easier to maintain in the long run, they also are a bit more fragile and require special cleaning and repair techniques. Clean and Polish Step 1 Turn off the stove and allow it to cool completely. Step 2 Wipe the stove clean with a damp sponge. Dry it with a clean rag. Step 3 Dampen a sponge and dip it into baking soda. Clean, using small, circular strokes and wiping as you go to see the effects. As the process works, the scratches will become less visible. Step 4 Clean the surface of all remaining baking soda paste and residue. Rinse the stovetop well. Step 5 Apply a good quality ceramic appliance cleaner/polisher. Clean and buff the surface to bring out a high shine.
