How Do You Repair Loose Baffles In A Dryer Tumbler?

0

Loose baffles in a dryer tumbler can cause clicking noises while the dryer runs. To check for loose baffles, run the dryer without clothes and listen for unusual noises. Sometimes coins or small items can get trapped in loose baffles to cause a even greater racket. Unplug your dryer before you attempt a repair. Lift the top panel of the dryer so you can access the outside of the tumbler. Check for loose or missing screws around the entire tumbler. Wherever a baffle meets the tumbler, there should be at least 2 screws. Remove any coins or other items from inside the baffles. Remove the screws that hold the baffle in place and replace them when you’re finished. Replace worn screws with new ones. If any baffles were missing screws, install new ones.
