How Do You Repair Engine Oil Pan Leaks?
The oil pan is often a place of engine oil leakage. Spots on the drive way, buying a quart a week, thats crazy! Cut back on spending needlessly and fix the oil leak at home! Step 1 First step is to look at the oil pan. Make sure it is in fact leaking. Make sure that you can do this repair, some motors may need to be jacked up or such to allow the oil pan to slide out from the cross members. If the repair is to steep for you try a manual or look for some help from a friend. If these don’t work then you may need the help of a pro, but most cases you can do it at home. Next step should be tool gathering along with the parts. Step 2 The parts needed should be the gasket and perhaps additional gaskets depending on the make and model, but I’ll keep this generic to keep things as easy as possible. you may also need a RTV gasket sealant.
