How Do You Repair Crinkles In Texture Paint?
Unless you are a painting professional, you’re bound to make at least one mistake at some point during a do-it-yourself painting project. As long as you notice your error while the materials you are working with are still wet, correction is generally no problem. However, once things dry and harden, fixing errors becomes a bit more complicated. To repair crinkles in texture paint, use a little controlled elbow grease. Work on a single one-foot by one-foot area at a time. Scrape away as much of the crinkle as possible with the metal putty knife. Concentrate on the peak area of the crinkle. Do not try to scrape the entire crinkle off all at once with the putty knife. Sand down the crinkle with 80- to 120-grit sandpaper. Use controlled, measured strokes. Apply touch-up paint to the area you sanded with a 1-inch paintbrush.
