Cement blocks are used in a variety of landscaping structures, such as retaining walls, decorative walls for climbing plants, borders for driveways and sometimes for storage areas. Like all other structures, cement block structures are subject to the same problems of shifting soil and weather and sometimes will develop cracks. While it may be tempting to ignore the cracks or cover them with a decorative vine, the cracks have already weakened the structure and the problem will worsen if not repaired. Step 1 Pour cement epoxy crack filler into a disposable plastic container. The amount of the epoxy used depends on the size and number of the cracks you need to repair, however, it is best to mix and patch small sections at a time so that the epoxy does not dry out. Step 2 Add sand to the epoxy and stir with a plastic putty knife. The consistency of the epoxy/sand mix should appear similar to wet cement, but with a consistency that is soft and pasty. Step 3 Apply the epoxy mix into the crac
