How Do You Repair Chipped Corners On Stucco?
Stucco is a building material made of sand, water and Portland cement. It is the equivalent of plaster but is designed for use of the exterior of the home. Though this product is fairly durable, it can be subject to damage over time, especially on the corners, where impact is most common. While repairing chipped stucco is relatively easy, it can take time to match the texture and color or your existing walls. With a bit of practice and patience, however, you can repair your stucco wall to like-new condition. Step 1 Install a stucco corner bead on badly damaged spots, or where there is no stucco remaining. These beads are made of PVC, and can be nailed onto the corner, where they will act as a base for new stucco application. If damage is relatively minor, you can skip this step. Step 2 Blend a small amount of stucco mixture with water in a bucket. Use a trowel to apply it to a piece of plywood or scrap lumber. This will help you gauge how close your mixture matches the existing stucco.
