Broken, cracked or loose ceramic wall tiles along the tub is a problem that should be fixed immediately. That breach in the tile surface can allow moisture to get at the wall behind it, causing much bigger problems. Tile at the tub is bordered in two ways: with grout between the tiles, and with caulk alongside the tub. The old grout and caulk has to come out, then the damaged tiles. Then everything has to be put back in place right away so you’re not leaving the wall exposed. Use your razor knife to cut out the old caulk between the damaged tiles and the tub. Cut it out by running the razor along the upper and lower edges of the caulk line and then pulling it out. Use your grout saw to scrape and dig out all the grout around the damaged tiles. Set the point of your chisel at the base of the damaged tile (inside one of the lines where there was previously grout), and tap at it gently with your hammer.
