How Do You Repair Bad Sectors On A Hard Drive?

0

hi mate bad sectors are parts of your hard drive that can in some case deem your hard drive useless and these can be caused by corrupt files and viruses you can however repair bad sectors using utilitys from hard drive manufactuers such as seagate and maxtor personally i swear by a program called “seatools” from http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support… you can run this from either windows or dos however whichever you choose seatools allows you to repair any bad sectors that are found on your hard drive it runs a scan of every sector on your hard drive and if any cannot be repaired then they will disable the sector and mark it unusable i repaired a 40gb seagate drive over 3 years ago which was apparently dead as a dodo however after repairing it with seatools it still running todays as good as ever ! hope this helps good luck and happy easter mate !
