Take a look at the following tips on how to repair and salvage broken lipstick for a few quick money-saving strategies. Step 1 Scrape any leftover broken lipstick out of the tube and place in a microwave-safe container, along with any portion of the stick that broke away. Step 2 Combine 2 parts lipstick with 1 part Vaseline or lip balm in container. (Balm will dilute lip color, so use less if you wish for the formula to remain matte and more if you prefer a lighter, glossier finish) Step 3 Microwave on low to medium power no longer than 30 seconds. Watch formula and remove if excessive bubbling or melting begins to occur. The mixture should be easy to stir when finished, not completely melted. Step 4 Mix contents slowly, place back into empty lip balm or eye shadow container (can be purchased new at beauty supply stores). Step 5 Smooth over with the back of a s
