How Do You Repair And Hide Small Concrete Cracks?
If you have a rough concrete driveway, patio, or walkway with minor surface cracks, one of the best ways to repair these cracks is to fill them in with concrete repair caulk (siliconized latex concrete caulk). The only problem is that once you caulk these minor surface cracks, it will be extremely obvious that a caulk repair was made because the texture and color of the caulk does not blend in with the texture and color of the concrete slab. Here is a trick to hide the caulking repair with playsand. Clean the crack in the concrete using a soft wire brush (nylon). Then put on your latex gloves and get out your caulk and caulk gun. Snip the opening of the tube at a 30-degree angle and try to keep the opening in the tube the same size (width) as your crack. Fill the crack flush with the surface. Take an old spoon, and smooth the caulk bead. Wipe the spoon clean as needed with a rag and mineral spirits. Sprinkle ordinary play sand over the caulk immediately after you apply it to the crack
