How Do You Repair An Xbox 360 Disk?
Game consoles are notorious for having scratched disk. When an Xbox 360 disk is scratched, the game will not work properly, and common indications of a scratched disk is a “Disk Read Error” that appears on the screen when the console is on and trying to run the game. Scratched disks can typically be fixed with common household items and a soft cloth. Rinse the disk in tap water. Temperature does not matter. This will rid the disk of any surface debris such as dust and dirt particles. Gently rub toothpaste around and over the scratch with the soft cloth until the scratch is removed. Do not push too hard as toothpaste is an abrasive substance and pushing down could cause more scratches. Rinse the disk to remove the toothpaste. The scratch should barely be there, or gone completely. Use the soft cloth to spread car wax over the entire disk surface. Car wax acts as a resurfacing agent. Let the wax dry, and then use a dry part of the cloth to wipe the disk clean. Try the disk in the console
