An invisible pet fence is a great way to ensure that pets don’t leave the yard. While these devices can be a great help, they are also somewhat fragile. The wire forming the barrier can be easily broken, but it is a cinch to repair it. Follow these steps to get your pet fence back on line. Step 1 Locate the break in the wire. Check high traffic areas and places where trees may have dropped branches; these are most likely to be the location of the break. Step 2 Insert one end of the wire into the connector and hold it in place. The wire should touch the metal contacts within the connector. Step 3 Crimp that side of the connector, applying enough pressure to ensure a good crimp, but not enough to damage the connector. Step 4 Insert the opposite side of the wire into the connector and hold it in place. Again, the wire should touch the metal contacts in the connector. Crimp the connector.
