How Do You Repair A Pressure Washer Coupler?
Not all pressure washer couplers can be repaired: couplers that have been squashed by a large amount of weight so that they no longer retain their original shape aren’t repairable, nor is a coupler that has lost too many ball bearings. Couplers that are simply leaking usually are repairable, since more than likely the cause is deteriorating o-rings. O-Ring Removal Step 1 Secure the pressure washer coupler in a table top vise grip with the coupler positioned so that you can access the deteriorating o-ring. Use a flat tip screwdriver or ice pick to pull the o-ring out of the groove in which it functions and toward the center of the pressure washer coupler. Step 2 Use the straight long-nose needle-nose pliers to reach into the center of the coupler, grab the old o-ring and pull it the rest of the way out of the groove where it functions and out of the coupler itself.
