Unfortunately, these blemishes can be extremely difficult to remove without damaging the very finish you are trying to save. If you need to repair a paint transfer on a car, there are a couple of techniques you can use to give yourself the best chance at success. Wear protective gloves. Rub lacquer thinner on the transfer using a rag. Rub away the transfer using a terry cloth. Repeat step 1 and then use a buffing wheel to loosen the transfer.
