Electric dryers that don’t spin during a cycle usually have a broken or worn out dryer belt. Replacing the dryer belt usually resolves the problem. Attaching a new belt isn’t a very difficult process, but it does require some heavy lifting. Those with back problems or other health issues may not want to attempt this task. Unplug the Kenmore dryer and pull it out a few feet so you have some space in which to work. Detach the front panel of the dryer from the top panel. Place a flathead screwdriver between the two panels and locate the spring clips in the top corners of the front panel. Use the screwdriver to pull up on the springs in both corners.
